The Avlonya Hotel is a simple two-star hotel, open all year round, which caters mainly to business people passing through the mad metropolis. Aksaray is a meeting point for those interested in buying leather and the area is therefore full of curt Russians and Armenians plying their trade along both sides of the busy main street. The hotel offers very basic, clean rooms (although perhaps a little overpriced) and the management are both helpful and friendly.
